About Willie Green
Willie Green has had a rapid rise to becoming an NBA head coach with the New Orleans Pelicans. During his three seasons as a Golden State Warriors assistant, he won two NBA titles. Then, he helped the Phoenix Suns get to the NBA Finals in 2021. Green immediately jumped into coaching after a 13-year NBA playing career. He spent the first seven seasons as a player with the Philadelphia 76ers after being a second-round pick in the 2003 NBA Draft. Green also played for four other teams before retiring in 2015. Prior to the pros, he was Horizon League Player of the Year at Detroit Mercy, where he has his jersey retired.
