About Wladimir Klitschko
Wladimir Klitschko is the most well-known heavyweight boxer of his era. Klitschko currently holds the heavyweight belt for seven different organizations. No man has held the IBF, WBA, WBO, and IBO championships as long. His first professional fight came in 1996 and Klitschko has held as least a piece of the heavyweight title since 2006. Some of his main competition has included Chris Byrd and Lamon Brewster. As an amateur, Klitschko won gold in the super heavyweight division at the 1996 Olympics for Ukraine. His brother, Vitali, is also recognized in the fight community and is a former WBC, WBO, and Ring heavyweight champion. The Klitschko brothers are very active with their humanitarian work. Their foundation has done a great deal internationally and in Ukraine for children. Klitschko speaks three languages and has a doctorate in Sports Science from Kiev University. His fiancée is actress Hayden Panettiere and they have a daughter named Kaya.
