Cincinnati Reds Broadcaster Marty Brennaman Named Keynote Speaker for High School Foundation Dinner

Marty Brennaman is an institution in Ohio for his legendary broadcasting career with the Cincinnati Reds.  Each winter, Brennaman makes a variety of speaking appearances around the state talking about his successes and getting people excited about the Reds.

On February 6th, he will be in Sidney as the keynote speaker at Lehman Catholic High School's annual foundation dinner.  The evening will start with mass at the schools chapel at 5:00 p.m., followed by a social hour at 5:30.  

Dinner will be barbeque from the Montgomery Inn and start at 6:30 and Brennaman will speak starting at 8:00.  Tickets for the event are running $150.

2016 will be Brennaman's 42nd year with the Reds and his 52nd year as a broadcaster.  Multiple generations of Cincinnati fans have grown up with his undeniable delivery and signature victory call, "And this one belongs to the Reds!"

Brennaman will always have a place in the Baseball Hall of Fame after receiving the Ford C. Frick Award in 2000.  He is also a member of the National Radio Hall of Fame, the National Sportscasters and Sportswriters Association Hall of Fame, the Virginia Sports Hall of Fame, and the Hampton Roads Hall of Fame.  

Brennaman's broadcasting career began in High Point, North Carolina and he first got a crack at play-by-play with the Virginia Squires in the American Basketball Association.  He later went on to be a four-time Virginia Sportscaster of the Year while calling games for a variety of teams across the state.
