NBA Veteran Luc Richard Mbah a Moute Speaks with the Zimbabwe United States Alumni Association

Los Angeles Clippers veteran Luc Richard Mbah a Moute has been a great ambassador for basketball for his home country of Cameroon. As a representative of the talent that can come from Africa in general, he spoke on Wednesday to the Zimbabwe United States Alumni Association. 

He was part of a panel discussion hosted by author Masimba Biriwasha. Mbah a Moute was able to discuss his journey from Africa to the U.S.

He also talked about the work he is currently doing to improve the level of basketball played on the continent. Mbah a Moute has found basketball prospects like Joel Embiid in Cameroon. 

Mbah a Moute just completed his second season in Los Angeles. It is the same city that he got his start in as a college basketball star at UCLA. 

Mbah a Moute made three straight Final Fours with the Bruins. He was also the Pac-10 Freshman of the Year and a member of the Pac-10 All-Freshman Team in 2006. 

The Milwaukee Bucks originally selected Mbah a Moute in the second round of the 2008 NBA Draft. He has also played for the Sacramento Kings, Minnesota Timberwolves and Philadelphia 76ers.
