Charles Haley Biography

Charles Haley was a Hall of Fame pass rusher for the San Francisco 49ers and Dallas Cowboys. Haley attended James Madison University where he was a starter for his entire college career. Haley was a two-time All-American and he finished his career as the school’s leading tackler. The San Francisco 49ers selected Haley as the 96th overall draft pick in the 1986 NFL Draft. Haley spent 1986-91 with the 49ers where he won two Super Bowls and was an All-Pro selection. Haley was traded to the Dallas Cowboys in 1992. During his time with the Cowboys, Haley added three more Super Bowl wins and was an All-Pro selection. No other player in NFL history has won five Super Bowls.  Overall, Haley was a five-time Pro Bowl pick and two-time UPI Defensive Player of the Year.  He finished with 100.5 career sacks.
