The newly-minted president of the San Francisco 49ers, Al Guido, has achieved great results thus far with the franchise. He will share some of his tips for excellence when he keynotes the 7th annual National Sports Safety and Security Conference and Exhibition in July.
It is being held July 12-14 at the JW Marriott Desert Ridge Resort in Phoenix, Arizona. The conference is being sponsored by the National Center for Spectator Sports Safety and Security.
"Achieving the Gold Standard" is the theme for this year's event. That is certainly a phrase that applies to Guido's work.
After being named president in February, Guido oversees all 49ers business initiatives. For the last two years, he was team COO and played an instrumental role in the opening of the state of the art Levi's Stadium.
The stadium produced record-setting seat and suite sales while racking up over $650 million in corporate partnership investment. Sports Business Journal named it the 2015 Sports Facility of the Year.
Just this year, SBJ also included Guido on their Forty Under 40 list. In addition to his tenure with the 49ers, he has also worked for the Dallas Cowboys, Phoenix Coyotes and several other sports entities.
