About Alex Cora
Alex Cora s the manager of the Boston Red Sox and led them to the 2018 World Championship in his first season. He played college baseball at the University of Miami before playing in MLB for the Los Angeles Dodgers, Cleveland Indians, Boston Red Sox, New York Mets, Texas Rangers, and Washington Nationals from 1998 through 2011. Cora was a baseball analyst for ESPN before becoming a coach and manager. On October 18, 2018, his 43rd birthday, the Red Sox defeated the Astros 4-1 to win the ALCS 4-1 and advance to the World Series.[35] Cora became the third rookie manager to reach the World Series and win in the expansion era, the others being Bob Brenly in 2001 and Ralph Houk in 1961. The Red Sox defeated the Los Angeles Dodgers in 5 games to give Cora his first championship as a manager and third overall.
