About Anthony Pettis
Anthony Pettis was one of the most successful mixed martial artists in the world. Pettis is the former UFC Lightweight Champion and the final WEC Lightweight Champion.
Pettis originally took the lightweight belt by beating Benson Henderson at UFC 164 in 2013. That win was part of an 18-2 run to start his pro-MMA career, which included a successful title defense of his UFC belt.
Pettis began his MMA training very early, starting boxing and taekwondo lessons at age five in his hometown of Milwaukee. After his time in the Octagon, he also has tried his hand in the ring, defeating former world champion Roy Jones Jr. in a boxing match in 2023.
