About Arshad Nadeem
Arshad Nadeem achieved historic success by becoming Pakistan's first Olympic gold medalist in athletics at the 2024 Paris Olympics. His Olympic record-breaking throw of 92.97 meters surpassed the previous Olympic record from 2008.
Arshad Nadeem was born in 1997 in Mian Channu Punjab to a family with seven children. He dedicated himself to athletics despite financial difficulties by using homemade javelins to practice in wheat fields. His athletic career began when he joined WAPDA in 2014 under the mentorship of coach Syed Hussain Bukhari.
In 2022 Nadeem achieved a historic milestone by becoming the first South Asian athlete to surpass 90 meters while setting new national and Commonwealth Games records. He secured a silver medal at the 2023 World Athletics Championships. Through his modest nature and unwavering commitment he attributes his achievements to his religious beliefs and his family support and his coach Salman Iqbal Butt. Through his journey Arshad Nadeem has become an inspiration to the nation through his unwavering determination.
