About Atiyyah Ellison
Atiyyah Ellison had an eight-year NFL career on the defensive line for six teams. The Carolina Panthers originally selected him in the third round of the 2005 NFL Draft. Ellison had to persevere in his career, not playing in any regular season game action until he landed with the Jacksonville Jaguars in 2009. That season, he played in 15 games and started six for the Jaguars. The St. Louis, Missouri native played collegiately at Missouri after a stint in junior college. Ellison was a first-team All-Big 12 pick and team captain during his senior year. He was a three-sport star at Parkway South High School, winning All-State in football, all-conference in basketball, and owning his school’s shot put record. Ellison’s jersey is retired by the high school. Annually, he hosts a free camp in the Columbia area to stimulate youth exercise. Ellison is currently a teacher and assistant football coach at Battle High School.
