About Ayo Dosunmu
Ayo Dosunmu has spent his entire life as a basketball star in Illinois. The Chicago native led his high school to back-to-back state titles and went on to Illinois, where he played three seasons. Dosunmu improved each season for the Illini, earning consensus first-team All-American and first-team All-Big Ten honors in his final year. He also was named the Most Outstanding Player of the Big Ten Tournament and won the Bob Cousy Award as the top point guard in the country. Dosunmu was then selected in the second round of the 2021 NBA Draft by his hometown Chicago Bulls. He had a strong first year for the Bulls, averaging 8.8 points per game and making the NBA All-Rookie Second Team. In 2022, Illinois retired his jersey.
