About Barry Odom
Barry Odom was born November 26, 1976 and is an American football coach. He is currently the head coach at Pudue after serving as the head coach at UNLV.
Odom played college football at the University of Missouri as a linebacker from 1996 to 1999. After his playing career ended he became a high school football coach, coaching Ada High School in Ada, Oklahoma in 2000 and Rock Bridge High School in Columbia, Missouri from 2001 to 2002.
In 2003, Odom returned to Missouri as an administrative graduate assistant. He stayed at Missouri until 2008, serving in numerous different coaching positions. In 2009, Odom left Missouri to become safeties coach of the Memphis Tigers football team. In 2012 he was promoted to defensive coordinator and also coached linebackers.
Odom returned to Missouri to become their defensive coordinator in 2015. Odom was named the head coach of the Missouri Tigers football team in December 2015, after former head coach Gary Pinkel retired after 15 seasons at the university due to cancer. He was 25-25 over four seasons with the Tigers prior to taking the job as Razorbacks defensive coordinator.
