About Bill Madlock
Prior to a 15 year career in the Major Leagues, Bill Madlock got his start in high school where he played four years of baseball, basketball, and football. During his professional career Bill was a part of six different teams where he eventually earned his nickname of Mad Dog due to his fiery temper that at times got him in trouble, including 18 career ejections. With a career .305 batting average, 2,008 hits, 163 home runs, and 860 RBIs, Bill was a force to be reckoned with when he stepped onto the field. Madlock was a 3 time All-Star, where he became the games MVP in 1975. Bill also won the National League batting title four times and is a World Series Champion. Following his playing days, Bill has taken on the role of coach, first with one of his former teams, the Detroit Tigers as well as other positions with the independent Atlantic League.
