Billy Hamilton

Billy Hamilton is an outfielder for the Kansas City Royals and one of the fastest players in Major League Baseball history. Hamilton was originally drafted by the Cincinnati Reds in 2009 and by 2011 he was on Baseball America's top 50 prospects list. Hamilton is quick on his feet and is a threat to steal a base whenever he is on the diamond. Hamilton holds the record for the most stolen bases in a single season at the Minor League level with 155, ten more than the previous record.  With that kind of success, Hamilton was called up to the majors where he made his debut in September of 2013. Billy stole nine bases and scored six runs in his first 10 times on base and became the first player since 1920 to steal four bases in his first major league start. In his rookie season Billy was nominated for the Gold Glove Award as well as the NL Rookie of the Year. He spent the first six season of his career in Cincinnati and recorded four 50-plus stolen base campaigns.
