Blake Bortles

Before being the 3rd overall draft pick in the 2014 NFL Draft for the Jacksonville Jaguars, Blake Bortles was the quarterback for the breakout UCF Knights. Playing for the University of Central Florida Blake led the team to a Conference USA Championship and bowl victory in 2012. The following season he was the leader of the program's best season in history that included an upset of then-number 8 Louisville, a conference championship, and a victory in the BCS Fiesta Bowl over the heavily favored number 6 team in the county, the Baylor Bears.

In January of 2014, Bortles announced that he would enter the NFL Draft and went 3rd overall to the Jaguars. Bortles was the first of an eventual 14 quarterbacks to be drafted. While Blake was expected to be in reserve behind Chad Henne his rookie year, early in the year he took the top job and improved with every outing on the field.In 2015, he finished second in the NFL in touchdown passes and seventh in yards. Bortles also set single-season franchise records in both categories. The highlight of his tenure in Jacksonville came in 2017 when he led the team to their first AFC Championship since 1999. Overall, Bortles spent five years as the Jaguars starting quarterback before joining the Los Angeles Rams in 2019. He then signed with the Denver Broncos in 2020 and the Green Bay Packers the following season.
