About Brad Sham

Brad Sham is a revered American sportscaster known as the "Voice of the Dallas Cowboys." He has been the play-by-play announcer for the Dallas Cowboys Radio Network since 1984, except for a three-year hiatus (1995–1997), starting as a color analyst in 1976 alongside Verne Lundquist. He is a graduate of the University of Missouri School of Journalism. Sham is Jewish, a member of the Alpha Epsilon Pi fraternity, and has won the National Sports Media Association Texas Sportscaster of the Year award 11 times.

He was inducted into the Texas Radio Hall of Fame in 2002 and the Texas Sports Hall of Fame in 2020. Sham authored “Dallas Cowboys: Colorful Tales of America's Greatest Teams” (2003) and contributed weekly columns to dallascowboys.com. He has also broadcast Texas Longhorns football and basketball, NFL games for Westwood One, Fox, and CBS, and 26 Cotton Bowl Classics.
