Brandin Cooks

Brandin Cooks joined the New Orleans Saints as a first round pick in 2014 after a standout career at Oregon State University. Cooks signed with Oregon State out of Lincoln High School in Stockton, California where he ran track and played basketball and football. As a senior he earned national notoriety when he caught 66 passes for 1,125 yards and 11 touchdowns, topping his junior season in which he caught 46 passes for 783 yards and 10 touchdowns. While playing at Oregon State he led the NCAA in receiving yards in 2013 and also led the Pac-12 in receptions and receiving touchdowns with 128 and 16 respectively. His performance earned him Consensus All-American and First Team All-Pac 12 honors as well as the Biletnikoff Award. He left Oregon State as their all-time leader in receiving touchdowns with 24 and 3rd all-time leading receiver with 3,272 yards.

Upon being selected with the 20th overall pick in the 2014 NFL Draft by the Saints he signed a four-year contract with $8.3 million.In his first season he caught 53 passes for 560 yards and three touchdowns. Cooks recorded two 1,000-yard receiving seasons with the Saints before joining the New England Patriots. He made Super Bowl appearances with both the Patriots and Los Angeles Rams, while collecting two more 1,000-yard campaigns. He was traded to the Houston Texans in 2020.
