About Breanna Stewart
Breanna Stewart is a WNBA star for the New York Liberty. Stewart was the first overall pick in the 2016 WNBA Draft by the Seattle Storm. In six seasons in Seattle, she went on to be a four-time WNBA All-Star and the WNBA MVP in 2018. That year she also won the first of two WNBA championships. Stewart was MVP of the Finals on each occasion. In her final year with the Storm, she led the WNBA in scoring before signing the Liberty that offseason.
Stewart was bound for success from the start. In high school, she was the National Gatorade Player of the Year, the Gatorade Female Athlete of the Year, and a McDonald's All-American. Stewart went on to play for the legendary UConn women's basketball program. She led the Huskies to four national championships, was named the tournament's most outstanding player a record four times, and was a three-time consensus national player of the year.
Stewart has also had a successful professional career overseas, winning the EuroLeague and the Russian Premier League. She has also bee the EuroLeague regular season MVP. Stewart has two Olympic gold medals with Team USA and was also named a member of the WNBA's 25th Anniversary Team.
