About Brian Bosworth
Brian Bosworth is a former NFL linebacker who is notorious for his time in college at the University of Oklahoma. As a freshman at Oklahoma, Bosworth was named All-Big 8, and his popularity exploded due to his tremendous play and extreme hair styles. In 1985 Bosworth won the Dick Butkus Award and was a consensus All American, repeating both awards in the 1986 season as well. After skipping the normal NFL Draft, Bosworth was entered into the Supplemental Draft, but he warned teams not to pick him due to his desire to play for the Los Angeles Raiders. Despite his warnings, the Seahawks drafted Bosworth anyways and he and the team eventually agreed to one of the largest contracts in team history. Bosworth appeared in 12 games during his rookie season. He did have a short pro career and was forced to retire in 1989 after a shoulder injury.
