About Brian Stann
Brian Stann is a retired mixed martial artist who spent most of his professional career fighting for the UFC in their middleweight division. Born into a military family, Stann entered the United States Navy right out of high school, serving as a Marine from 2003 to 2008, along with competing in MMA fights on his extended leave. Following his retirement from the military, Stann began to fight professionally for World Extreme Cagefighting, starting his career 6-0 in the middleweight division. After the UFC merged with WEC, Stann was brought over to the company, competing in the organizations middleweight division, fighting 11 fights and ending his professional career with 12-6 record following his retirement in 2013. In five years as a fighter, Stann won one championship, and he is now a sports broadcaster for FOX Sports
