About Brock Nelson
Brock Nelson is an All-Star center for the Colorado Avalanche. Drafted 30th overall by the New York Islanders in 2010, he played two seasons at the University of North Dakota. He debuted with the Islanders in 2012-13, playing 11 seasons there before a March 2025 trade to Colorado. A consistent 20-30+ goal scorer with over 330 NHL goals and 600+ points, he signed a lengthy extension with the franchise. He has a strong hockey pedigree, with his grandfather, Bill Christian, and great-uncle Roger winning the 1960 Olympic gold medal, and his uncle Dave Christian starring on the 1980 "Miracle on Ice" team. Nelson capped his legacy by winning gold with Team USA at the 2026 Milano Cortina Olympics, contributing defensively in the 2-1 OT victory over Canada.
