About Chris Fowler
Chris Fowler is most recognizable for his role with ESPNs Saturday morning program College GameDay. Fowler has been with ESPN since 1986 when he was a host/reporter for Scholastic Sports America. After 2 years in that role, Fowler began his career as a sideline reporter for ESPNs college football coverage. Fowler continued as a college football reporter until 1990 when he began his career on College GameDay, also taking on the role of announcer for ESPNs Saturday college football coverage. In 2014, Fowler became the announcer for ABCs Saturday Night Football coverage and was the announcer for the inaugural College Football Playoff Semifinal and College Football National Championship. Throughout his career, Fowler has also announced major sporting events such as the X Games, the Breeders Cup, the FIFA World Cup, and all four tennis majors.
