About Chris Reis
Chris Reis was a back-up safety for the New Orleans Saints from 2007-2010. Although never managing to work his way into a starting role for the Saints, Reis still managed to bring us one of the most crucial plays in recent Super Bowl memory. In Super Bowl XLIV, the Saints were trailing the Indianapolis Colts as the teams lined up for the opening kickoff to the second half. Coach Sean Payton went with a gutsy call as he drew up an onside kick that was eventually recovered by Reis. The play changed the tide of the game in favor of the Saints who went on to dominate the rest of the game and bring home the Super Bowl. The following season Reis suffered a shoulder injury that ended his NFL career. Reis is a devout Christian who has used his post-NFL career to travel the country as an inspirational speaker.
