About Clay Dyer
"If I can, you can." This is the motto of professional bass fisherman Clay Dyer. Dyer was tragically born without any lower limbs, no left arm, and only a portion of an arm on his right side but he never let that slow him down. At the age of 5 Dyer picked up a fishing pole for the first time and never put it down. Dyer still competes in fishing tournaments with over 20 state tournament wins to his record. Dyer, who refuses to use any special fishing equipment, casts his line by tucking the pole under his neck and by unhooking the fish with his teeth. Dyer frequently travels the country as a motivational speaker, passing along his message that you can do anything you put your mind to, using himself as a prime example.
