About Conor Dwyer
Conor Dwyer is an Olympic medalist known for his outstanding swimming abilities. Specifically excelling in the freestyle and medley events, Dwyer mastered these techniques at a very young age. Dwyer was born in Illinois in 1989 to an All-American college swimmer, as his mom swam for the Florida State Seminoles. Becoming the captain of his high school swim team, he went on to attend first the University of Iowa and then the University of Florida. As a Gator, Dwyer was named the Southeastern Conference Swimmer of the Year in both 2010 and 2011. He graduated from the University of Florida with a degree in business and from there, qualified for the U.S. national team. Dwyer competed in his first Olympic games in the summer of 2012 and continues to set personal records as he is a fierce competitor in the freestyle and medley events.
