About Jason Lezak
Jason Lezak is a four-time gold medal-winning swimmer who has competed in the 2000, 2004, 2008 and 2012 Olympic Games for the United States. All together he has earned a total of eight Olympic medals, including two bronze, two silver, and four golds. In 2008 Lezak made a miraculous comeback to the sport and anchored the men’s 4x100 meter freestyle team that captured gold and set a new world record. After his historic comeback in 2008 he won four gold medals in Israel’s Maccabiah Games and has continued to contribute to his community by teaching swimming clinics for neighborhood kids at the Merage Jewish Community Center of Orange County in southern California. In 2010 Lezak was inducted into the National Jewish Hall of Fame and maintains his focus on philanthropy, traveling the country to lend his hand towards a variety of causes and sharing his story with groups of all ages.
