About Cory Clouston
Cory Clouston is widely recognized for his career as a coach in the National Hockey League. Clouston was born in Canada and attended the University of Alberta from 1989 to 1993. He grew up playing hockey all his life and excelled on his college hockey team. Just a year after graduating college, Clouston commenced his coaching career with the Powell River Paper Kings of the British Columbia Junior Hockey League. Starting off as an assistant, Clouston went on to serve as a general manager and then head coach of a hockey team in the Alberta Junior Hockey League. In addition, he spent time on the coaching staff for the Binghamton Senators of the AHL and the Kootenay Ice of the WHL before entering the professional coaching ranks. Clouston debuted as a professional coach in 2007 for the Binghamton Senators of the American Hockey League. Throughout his coaching career, he also spent time coaching the Ottawa Senators of the NHL (from 2009-2011) and the Kootenay Ice of the WHL. One of Clouston’s most prestigious awards received throughout his career was the Dunc McCallum Memorial Trophy both in 2005 and 2007, signifying his dedication the sport and players he loved.
