About Craig Stammen
Craig Stammen is an American professional baseball manager and former pitcher. A 6'2" right-hander, he starred at the University of Dayton before being drafted by the Washington Nationals in 2005. Stammen debuted in MLB with the Nationals in 2009. Traded to the San Diego Padres in 2018, he helped them reach the 2020 Wild Card Series, starting Game 3. Retiring after 2022, Stammen became a special advisor with the Padres. On November 10, 2025, he was named manager, succeeding Mike Shildt.
