Dallas Keuchel Biography

Dallas Keuchel is a pitcher for the Chicago White Sox. Keuchel is a two-time All-Star who won the American League Cy Young Award in 2015. He spent the 2019 season with the Atlanta Braves, but first gained notoriety as the ace of the Houston Astros.  He made his first All-Star team in 2015 after going 11-3 and posting an American League-best 2.13 ERA for the first place Astros.  Keuchel also got the honor of starting the game, pitching two innings and surrendering one unearned run.  He originally broke out during 29 starts in 2014, going 12-9 with a 2.93 ERA.  Keuchel also won the Gold Glove as the best defensive pitcher in the AL.  His debut with the Astros came in 2012.  In Keuchel’s second career start, he tossed a complete game. He spent three seasons in the minor leagues after being selected by Houston in the seventh round of the 2009 MLB Draft out of Arkansas.
