About Damien Anderson
Damien Anderson is a retired professional running back who spent six seasons between time in the NFL and the CFL. Originally from Chicago, Illinois, Anderson attended his hometown Northwestern University in 1997 where he exploded onto the national scene as one of the nation’s top running backs. In his senior season, Anderson ran for over 2,000 yards, ending his four year career with 4,485 rushing yards, 38 touchdowns, and 5,261 all-purpose yards, all Big Ten records. He finished fifth in Heisman Trophy voting during his senior season and was a consensus All American. Unfortunately, Anderson’s collegiate success did not translate over to the NFL, as he spent four uneventful seasons with the Arizona Cardinals before leaving the NFL to play in the Canadian Football League with the Edmonton Eskimos. Anderson would spend two seasons with the Eskimos before retiring from football in 2008, ending his professional career.
