About Dan Lanning
Prior to arriving at Oregon, Dan Lanning was one of the fastest-rising coaches in college football. From 2018-21, Lanning rose from outside linebackers coach and defensive coordinator at Georgia. His tenure with the Bulldogs culminated in a College Football Playoff berth during his final season. Lanning's got his first full-time coaching job in FBS Football with Memphis in 2016. He had previously been a graduate assistant at Alabama, Arizona State and Pittsburgh. Lanning also had a coaching position at Sam Houston State. He was a college linebacker at William Jewell College and started his career on the high school level in Missouri.
