About Dan Quinn
Dan Quinn is in his second stint as a head coach in the NFL with the Washington Commanders after a successful run with the Atlanta Falcons. Quinn assumed head coaching responsibilities in Atlanta following two years as defensive coordinator for the Seattle Seahawks.In his first season, the defense was regarded as the NFL’s best and the team went on to win Super Bowl XLVIII.Quinn had previously been with the Seattle staff for two years as the Florida Gators defensive coordinator.
Most of Quinn's coaching time has been spent as an NFL defensive line coach for the San Francisco 49ers, Miami Dolphins, and New York Jets. The 49ers gave him his first shot in pro football as a defensive quality control coach in 2001.
Quinn's coaching career started at the collegiate level, coaching the defensive lines at William & Mary, VMI, and Hofstra. Quinn is a member of the Salisbury University Athletics Hall of Fame following a storied four-year career in football and track and field.
