About Dane Rauschenberg
Dane Rauschenberg is a professional long distance runner who mainly competed in marathons throughout his long career. A graduate from Penn State University, Rauschenberg began competing in 2001, placing 159th out of 281 runners in his first ever event. Throughout the next few years, Rauschenberg was a middle of the pack runner, but that all changed in 2006. Determined to make something of his running, Rauschenberg set out to run a race every weekend for an entire year, gaining sponsorship from several companies and using his winnings to donate to various charities. His project, called Fiddy2, was a success, as he completed his goal and raised over $43,000 for charity. Rauschenberg is now a motivational speaker, and still competes in marathons from time to time.
