About Darrin Smith
Darrin Smith had a successful NFL career, but he honed his skills at the University of Miami. Smith was a key member of the Hurricanes' teams that won the national championship in 1989 and 1991. He was a two-time All-American and the Big East co-Defensive Player of the Year in 1991. The Dallas Cowboys went on to select him in the second round of the 1993 NFL Draft. Smith was named to the NFL All-Rookie Team after collecting 93 tackles his first year. He spent four seasons with the Cowboys and won two Super Bowls. Smith went on to play for the Philadelphia Eagles, Seattle Seahawks and New Orleans Saints.
