About David Bailey
David Bailey is a star linebacker for the Texas Tech Red Raiders. Originally from Orange, California, he attended Mater Dei High School in Santa Ana, where he excelled as a senior, earning Orange County Defensive Player of the Year honors and playing in the 2022 All-American Bowl. Bailey committed to Stanford, starting as a true freshman in 2022 with 46 tackles and 2.5 sacks over 11 games. After transferring to Texas Tech in 2025, he has dominated, leading the FBS with sacks. A semifinalist for the Chuck Bednarik, Lombardi, and other awards, the 6’3 “, 240-pound edge rusher is projected as a top 2026 NFL Draft pick.
