About David Luiz
David Luiz is an international soccer star who serves as vice-captain of Brazil's national team. He originally made his international debut in 2010 and has accumulated over 50 caps. Luiz is known as one of the best defenders in the world. He currently plays for Paris Saint-Germain. Since Luizarrived in 2014, the club has won Ligue 1 on two occasions. He was named to the Ligue 1 Team of the Year in back-to-back seasons. Prior to arriving at PSG, he played with Chelsea for four seasons. In the 2011-12 season, Luiz won the FA Cup, UEFA Champions League and UEFA Europa League. He also won Premier League Player of the Month in March 2011. Luiz started his club career in Brazil with Vitoria and also has played for Benfica. With Benfica, he was named Primeira Liga Player of the Year in 2009-10.
