About David Pollack
David Pollack joined the Cincinnati Bengals in 2005 after a stellar college career at the University of Georgia. While playing for the Bulldogs Pollack earned First Team All-American honors in three consecutive years from 2002 to 2004 and was named the SEC Player of the Year in 2002 and 2004. IN 2004 he earned the Chuck Bednarik Award, Lott Trophy, Lombardi Award and Ted Hendricks Award as the top defensive player in the country at the linebacker position. In 2007 the Snellville, Georgia native joined the Bengals and recorded 29 tackles and 4.5 sacks over two seasons before leaving the NFL in 2007 due to a neck injury. After his retirement he pursued a successful broadcasting career with CBS and then joined ESPN in 2011 as an analyst on College GameDay and host on the Palmer and Pollack Show. In 2012 he joined the ESPN Thursday Night Football crew as an analyst. Outside of football Pollack has founded a company called FanBan, which manufactures sports banners distributes a percentage of its profits to YMCA’s around the country.
