About Rece Davis
Rece Davis had a passion for broadcast work from an early age. He went to the University of Alabama and graduated with a degree in Broadcast News and Public Affairs. While still in school he did numerous freelance gigs including being a play by play announcer, studio host, and radio personality for local stations. Before being hired by ESPN, for which he is recognized nationally for, he worked as a sports reporter, lead anchor, and sports director on local television news networks. In 1995 the phone rang, and Davis left for Bristol, Connecticut to begin work with ESPN on the program SportSmash where he would provide sport reports, news, and scores. Since then he has worked as a part of many programs at ESPN and is now in the position he is known best for, the host of College Gameday as well as host of College Football Live and College Football Final.
