About David Rowe
David Rowe is a Neptune, New Jersey native and played his prep football at Deptford High School before heading to Penn State to star on the Nittany Lions defensive line. After earning his degree from Penn State he headed to the NFL as a second round pick of the New Orleans Saints. During his 11 year NFL career he played for the New Orleans Saints, New England Patriots, San Diego Chargers, Oakland Raiders and Baltimore Ravens from 1967 to 1978. After his retirement he pursued a successful career in broadcasting and used his expertise to provide analysis of professional and college football to millions of fans. In 1987 he joined ESPN as a color-commentator and analyst and has since become one of the lead play-by-play men for Southeastern Conference games throughout the regular and postseason. Rowe also continues to be a valuable ambassador for the game at both the professional and college level at Penn State University.
