About David Tyree
David Tyree joined the New York Giants in 2003 as a sixth round selection out of Syracuse University. He’d go on to play six seasons in the NFL from 2003 to 2009 and earn Pro Bowl and All-Pro honors in 2005. In 2008 he became famous when he wrangled in a pass from Eli Manning during a game winning drive in Super Bowl XLII that helped the Giants win the championship. Prior to his days in the NFL he starred as a wide receiver and special teams player at Syracuse University. Currently he ranks 13th all-time in Syracuse history with 1,214 career receiving yards. Tyree retired in 2009 as a member of the Baltimore Ravens with 650 career receiving yards and four career touchdowns. In 2014 the Giants hired him as their new Director of Player Development.
