About Dean Blandino
Dean Blandino is one of the most respected names in football officiating. Blandino originally became an NFL official during the 1994 season and was the league's vice president of officiating from 2013-2017. He also organized the instant replay system for its first six years of existence. Blandino was the replay officlal for two Super Bowls. When he left the NFL in 2017, he joined Fox Sports as a rules analyst for NFL and college football coverage. Blandino has also been the NCAA's director of instant replay and a consultant for the Alliance of American Football. He became the XFL's director of officiating in 2020.
