About Devery Henderson
Devery Henderson is a Louisiana native and became an LSU legend when he caught a last second hail mary pass to pull victory from the jaws of defeat against SEC rival Kentucky. That touchdown pass would come to be known as the “Bluegrass Miracle” and would earn Henderson an ESPY award for Best Play. During his time at LSU he helped the Tigers to a BCS National Championship on the football field in 2003 and multiple national championships in track in field. In 2001 he was a member of the Tigers famed National Champion Indoor Track and Field team, putting up impressive times in the 60-meter dash. In 2004 the New Orleans Saints selected the LSU speedster in the 2nd round of the NFL Draft, making him a true Louisiana staple. He’d go on to help the Saints to a Super Bowl Championship in 2010 and score 20 touchdowns during his eight seasons in New Orleans.
