About Don Carey
Don Carey is a safety for the Detroit Lions. Carey grew up rooting for the Lions in Grand Rapids, Michigan. Carey played college football at Norfolk State where he was a two-time second-team All-MEAC selection. Hewas then selected in the sixth round of the 2009 NFL Draft by the Cleveland Browns. Carey was cut by the Browns due to an injury but went on to spend two seasons with the Jacksonville Jaguars. He has slowly become a factor with the Lions since signing with them in 2011. Carey made six starts in 2012 and was relied upon as a top player on special teams. In 2015, he led the NFL with 14 solo tackles on special teams. In 2017, he released the book, It's Not Because I'm Better Than You.
