About Ed Dickson
After a standout high school career, Ed Dickson went on to the University of Oregon as a defensive end for the Ducks football team. Dickson was later transformed into a tight end and by his senior season was the starting TE for the Ducks. As one of the highest rated TEs in the Draft, Dickson was selected in the third round by the Baltimore Ravens. After limited time in a backup role as a rookie, Dickson fought for and won the starting role in the 2011 season. That season he was a primary target for QB Joe Flacco and ended the season with 5 TDs. In the 2012 season, Dickson saw plenty of playing time but was no longer a big target for Flacco which left Dickson as a primary blocker. Despite that, Dickson still contributed and helped his team to a Super Bowl Championship. Dickson signed a one year deal with the Carolina Panthers before the beginning of the 2014 season, averaging over 10 yards per catch.
