About Eduardo Nunez
Eduardo Nunez is an infielder who has become a true star for the Minnesota Twins. He was named to his first All-Star team in 2016 after batting .321 with 12 home runs and 40 RBI during baseball's first half. Nunez was originally acquired by the Twins via trade in 2014. During his first two seasons with Minnesota, he was mostly used as a spot starter at several infield positions. Nunez came up to the big leagues with the New York Yankees in 2010. While in the Big Apple, he built up a name as a frequent replacement for superstars Alex Rodriguez and Derek Jeter. Jeter was his boyhood idol and when he was originally signed by the Yankees in 2004, the thought was someday maybe he would replace him at shortstop. He performed well as he developed, culminating in being honored as the organization's 2010 Minor League Player of the Year.
