Edwin van der Sar is a retired Dutch soccer player widely regarded as one of the greatest goalkeepers in the history of the game. He played for top clubs like Ajax, Juventus, Fulham, and Manchester United, amassing 130 clean sheets in 312 top-five league matches and 19 in 67 UEFA Champions League games. His agility and composure led to four Eredivisie titles with Ajax (1991–1999), two Premier League titles, and a Champions League title with Manchester United (2006–2011). He earned 130 caps for the Netherlands, reaching the 1998 World Cup semifinals. Post-retirement, he served as Ajax's CEO (2016–2023). Known for his penalty-saving prowess, van der Sar's legacy includes revolutionizing the art of goalkeeping.
