Elena Hight

Born in Hawaii, Elena Hight learned to surf almost as quickly as she learned how to walk; once her family moved Lake Tahoe she learned how to snowboard just as quickly. By the age of 13, Hight became the first female to ever land a 900 in competition. Just three years later at 16, Hight earned a trip to her very first Olympic Games to compete in the snowboard halfpipe. The next year she went to the X Games and earned her first medal as a bronze medalist in the women’s halfpipe. In 2011 she added another bronze medal to her X Games career resume until 2012 when she earned a silver medal and added another silver in 2013. During her 2013 X Games campaign, Hight became the first snowboarder, regardless of gender, to ever land a double backside alley-oop rodeo during the halfpipe competition Out of competition Hight received a Business degree from the University of Phoenix and has developed her own clothing line and a signature snow goggle.
