About Eric Hassli

Eric Hassli is a former French soccer player who has played for 11 different teams in his 14 year professional career. His first opportunity in the spotlight was when Hassli moved to England on a loan to play for the Premier League’s Southampton. Later, Hassli joined the Swiss Super League’s St. Gallen where he made the breakthrough of his professional career. With the club, Hassli scored 18 goals in 47 games before he moved to France to play for Valenciennes in Ligue 1. After another stint in Switzerland, Hassli came to MLS to play for the Vancouver Whitecaps FC where in his first season he score one of the greatest goals in MLS history. Since then, Hassli has played for Toronto FC, FC Dallas, and the San Antonio Scorpions. In four seasons in the MLS, Hassli scored 21 goals from the forward position.
