About Fabio Capello
Fabio Capello is the manager of the Russian national football team as well as a former professional football player. Before becoming a manager, Capello spent the early 1980s coaching the Milan youth teams. In 1986, Capello completed his coaching badge and he was promoted to first team coach in 1987. Capello’s coaching career began with leading Milan in the final six games of the 1986-87 Serie A Season to a playoff with Sampdoria. Capello became the Milan manager in 1991 and they won the Serie A title that year. Capello was one of the first managers to use a squad rotation approach. In 1996, Capello became the Real Madrid coach, and he helped then win the Spanish League title in 1997. Capello took a second shot at Milan during the 1997-98 season, but this time it was much less successful. Capello has also coached for Roma, Juventus, England and Russia. Capello helped lead Russia to the 2014 FIFA World Cup Qualification Finals.
