About Frank Gore
Frank Gore was a remarkable picture of durability throughout 16 NFL seasons. Gore attended the University of Miami and was the backup running back during the 2001 National Championship winning team. During his freshman year, he was named Sporting News’ Big East Freshman of the Year. Before the start of the 2002 spring practice, Gore suffered a torn ACL in his left knee and had to take a full season off to recover. In 2005, Gore was selected 65th by the San Francisco 49ers. During his professional career, Gore was a five-time Pro Bowler and retired ranked third all-time in NFL history in rushing yards. In 2006, he was an AP Second-Team All-Pro, the NFC rushing leader, a PFWA All-NFC selection, and PFWA Most Improved Player of the Year. He led all backs in postseason rushing in 2012 and helped the 49ers reach Super Bowl XLVII.After a decade-long run, Gore left San Francisco and went on to play for the Indianapolis Colts, Miami Dolphins, Buffalo Bills and New York Jets.
